ANNUAL REPORT for 2002 should be with members before long. As people have seen over the last few years there is ever more information to collate and this is illustrated by the fact that the 'Birds of the District' section covered 14 pages in 1986 and 63 pages in 2001.

RECORDING AREA is shown on the back page of this newsletter. As you are checking your notes ready to send in data for 2003 please check the boundary.

COLOUR RINGS give very useful information on movement and longevity e.g see John Wilson's ringing report and we encourage you to look carefully and report any that you see.

THANKS to all the contributors to this newsletter. It is for LDWS members and all offerings are considered.

LDBWS Annual General Meeting will be held at 7.30pm on 29 March at Scotforth Unitarian church to elect Officers and Committee, to accept the Accounts and consider Any Other Business requested. We would be grateful for some new NOMINATIONS to join in the running of the Society.

THE NEXT NEWSLETTER is due in mid  May and contributions are welcome to Janedwsn@aol.com or to Phil Holland
