We
welcome a new recruit to the Reality League this year in Pete Fletcher and is
off to a very good start, being second to Mark Prestwood, with a good number of
finds to his credit, including Glaucous Gull, Slavonian Grebe and Shag etc.
Pete Marsh after his runaway victory last year is off to a very quiet
start, perhaps lulling everyone into a false sense of security, as we know how
good he is as picking up good numbers of new birds.
Some
of the birds seen were short stayers and seen only by a varying percentage of
leaguers. These birds included Slavonian Grebe, Glaucous Gull, Ruddy Shelduck
and Red Crested Pochard.
One
of the main benefits of the league is the interchange of information and
improved coverage, and better knowledge of the local recording area. With this
in mind why not consider joining us for what is a fun event. If you would like
any information about the league please speak to any of those involved or
contact me direct on 39556, 32020 or e-mail at
john@whalleyroad.screaming.net.
Could
all those taking part in the league this year please let me have their scores at
the end of each month. As from the beginning of April I will be setting up a Web
Site to keep up to date information on the league, with articles and photographs
in relation to local sightings being included
