Exploring the Natural History of Lancashire,
Manchester and North Merseyside
|
This book was commissioned by the Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside and was published in December 2004. It is an attractively produced hardback publication describing the natural history of the many varied habitats found in the Trust area, i.e. the current counties of Lancashire, Greater Manchester and North Merseyside.
Local specialists on our various flora and fauna have written most of the book and they have avoided being too technical, making the book very readable. It is lavishly illustrated with 350 fine photographs and these include many of the bird photographs taken by the late Stan Craig, a member of the LDBWS.
If you have not seen this book, I recommend you do and if you buy a copy, remember that all profits go directly towards the Trustís work in protecting wildlife.
