NEXT SEASON'S TALKS

Please note that two of next season's talks are NOT on the last Monday of the month but the Monday prior to that:

1.              In November the talk is on the 22nd not the 27th as advertised on the LDBWS website.  This is because Marek Borkowki, who is talking about his reserve, Biebrza Marshes in Poland, cannot make the next week.

2.              In March 2005 Easter falls at the end of the month and therefore the talk has been scheduled for the 21st.  This is a talk by Owen Rand about the Birds of Finland.

Other talks booked are:

Baz Hughes from WWT on September 27th who will be updating us on the biology and conservation of Scoters, a particularly topical issue in our area.

Then, on October 25th, Chris du Feu describes the Tresswell Wood bird populations that he has been studying closely for many years through CES.

On February 28th Gerald Gorman from Hungary will describe Woodpeckers

And on April 25th Professor Edward Cowie will tell us What Birds know about Music.

The January meeting on the 31st will be the Member's Evening as usual.  It's never too early to sort out your slides/photos/nests/feathers etc.  All contributions welcome.
